You want to hear about a hectic week? How about three games, a meeting with a clairvoyant point guard and a few Valentine lessons from Dr Love?
And that's just for starters.
You will already know what happened in the three games. We bounced back from last weekend's double defeat at Birmingham and Sheffield to win 94-73 at Leopards on Wednesday.
As I said to the Argus reporter after the game in Brentwood, that was probably our biggest result of the season given who it was against and when we got it.
It was a huge game for us and I was delighed with how we played. The foundations for that display were set in practice on Tuesday. We had a really good training session at the end of which Randy Duck called the team together and said: "If we play like we did today, we will win by 20 tomorrow." Of course Randy compelted a triple double the next night as we won by 21.
It wasn't just about Randy, although he does seem to enjoy his visits to the Leopards' court. I thought it was a good TEAM effort against a side who came at us like gamebusters and really wanted to win. Coming back on the bus, there was something of a sense of accomplishment among the team at having got back on track. That's good. You have to show some real toughness to bounce back in this league because there will always be tough patches and difficult days. I liked the way the players reached out to each other and decided to do it together. Maybe we had gotten a bit complacent and thought we could stray off the system a little bit and still win games.
Thursday was a day off and yesterday was prep time for our next games. It didn't take that long to prepare for Towers because we have played them so much, but we looked at some new defence systems and playing against the zone.
Tomorrow will be a case of Milton Keynes Lions coming before the Los Angeles Lakers as far as I am concerned. I have been hired by Sky Sports as part of the team covering the Lakers agsainst the Trailblazers although, for us commentators, that means being on location in a North London studio rather than in the States.
Before that though we have an important match with Milton Keynes. Obviously a very difficult game and not one to be taken at all lightly given their recent results and what happened in the two matches down here.
London Marathon training is coming on well. Today, we were due to be out on a 15-mile run before staging the Bears Academy and the pre-game clinic, both which are proving popular.
Which brings us to my meeting with Dr Love, otherwise knows as Southern FM's Ambrose Harcourt. I was invited by Southern FM and Sussex Enterprise to their Valentine's Day lunch on Thursday and was sitting right next to the love man himself. He gave me lots of good advice. None of it has worked yet but, hey, no problem. I'm still a young dude.
