A woman whose filthy home was raided during a drugs crackdown in Brighton has been given a week to tidy up.
Officers found rubbish, syringes, blood and excrement strewn around in the terraced home in Washington Street, Brighton.
They called in environmental health officers from Brighton and Hove Council, who issued a "tidy up" order.
Sergeant Steve Curry said: "It was in an appalling state, even by the standards we're used to. It just beggared belief.
"There was an enormous amount of rubbish strewn over all three floors, hundreds of syringes all over the place and in the cellar there was blood and excrement up the walls."
Health and safety inspectors have served an enforcement notice on the owner.
If she does not comply they will have the power to enter the property and clean it out themselves.
