Parents are to demonstrate against plans to reorganise education in Crawley which could see three schools shut.
More than 100 parents whose children attend schools involved in the proposed shake-up went to a meeting organised by North Sussex Trades Council last night.
They agreed to hold a demonstration in the town centre next month before the consultation period ends on March 22.
West Sussex County Council is proposing £60 million changes which would create mainly all-through primary schools.
Three schools are being considered for closure, two in Southgate and one in West Green.
North Sussex Trades Council chairman Paul Smith said the proposals would lead to job losses.
The group says the council should make better use of resources instead of closing schools when the population is growing.
Mr Smith said: "The meeting gave parents the opportunity to meet and discuss ideas for the campaign.
"It brought together parents keen to organise the campaign in individual schools.
"It was decided to continue to protest to Crawley Council, West Sussex County Council and to our MP Laura Moffatt."
