With only three games remaining, Crawley look favourites to be relegated but they are not going down without a fight.
Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to third placed Blackheath was an impressive result, particularly after their visitors went ahead.
Crawley switched things round for the second half, taking off a defender and sending on captain Terry Higgs who had suffered knee ligament damage in the previous week's draw with Ashford.
The change worked straightaway with Pete Waller equalising a minute after the restart Tempers rose and at one point both sides were reduced to ten men with Stuart Donaldson sin binned for Crawley.
Higgs said: "After the bad start we had I am proud of the team for fighting back in the manner they did. We had chances to win and we are now undefeated in three league games.
"The games are running out but we still have a chance to stay up."
Horsham started their match away to Old Williamsonians with only eight men but they still managed a 2-2 draw.
An accident on the M25 meant several players arrived late but Horsham conceded just one goal before the rest of the team arrived.
Cirdec Atkinson drew Horsham level before half time after being set up by skipper Mark Ansell.
With snow falling in the second half, Old Williamsonians regained the lead but Ansell's eighth league goal of the season earned his side a point.
In Kent/Sussex division one, Eastbourne lost 2-0 at home to second placed Sevenoaks.
