Substitute Mark Knee scored two goals in two minutes to give Worthing their first win in 13 games with a 3-2 victory at Uxbridge Ryman Division One.

Rebels roared back after being 2-0 down at the break and an incident packed game saw Andy Alexander take over in goal for the entire second half for Barry Lloyd's men after James Wastell was forced off with a shoulder injury.

Chris Moore beat Wastell to give Uxbridge the lead on 18 minutes and Lee Tunnell made it 2-0 just before the break.

Worthing, who had a let off when Moore blasted a penalty over the bar immediately after the restart, made it 2-1 on 48 minutes when striker Gavin Geddes touched in a cross from the left by Ben Carrington.

Knee who normally operates at left back, was pushed up front on 79 minutes when introduced for Warren Smart and struck with his first touch by converting a Danny Davis cross at the far post.

He then hit the winner just a minute later by robbing John Swift and planting the ball past keeper Nore Gabbion.

In division one of the County League, Ringmer won 2-1 at Sidley with goals from Tony Holden and Graham Martin. Peter Baker netted for Sidley. All other games were postponed.
