I bet when it was announced the Goldstone was being demolished, the residents living in and around the football ground jumped for joy.
No more noise, double parking, extra police vans and cars and hooligans every Saturday home match.
So why on earth should the stadium be put somewhere where it is not wanted?
Falmer residents and thousands of others have stated they don't want it. Nobody wants a stadium on their doorstep so why not build it where it won't affect anybody?
Shoreham or Waterhall could be perfect yet everybody keeps pushing for Falmer - even Lord Bassam has put in his twopenn'orth. He obviously doesn't live in Falmer.
All the name-calling and mud-slinging just because the residents and councils are against the stadium is really childish.
