Mrs Mittenbury (Letters, February 23) attempted to justify her objection to plans for a new Albion football stadium by saying there are thousands of people in Brighton and Hove who have not the slightest interest in football.
Of course there are. Similarly, there are thousands of people in Brighton and Hove, like me, who have no interest in swimming.
But that does not mean they are going to object to any plans by Brighton and Hove City Council to upgrade and possibly extend the King Alfred leisure centre, thus providing better facilities for swimmers.
To each his own. Live and let live, Mrs Mittenbury.
There are thousands of frustrated supporters in Brighton and Hove and beyond who wish to attend Albion matches but cannot do so until a new and adequate stadium is built.
