An Eastbourne mother has told of her daughter's desperation to return home from Iran after her new husband was refused entry to the UK.
Nicola Kelly, 21, from Welbeck Close, Eastbourne, was said to be miserable and desperate to return home but determined to stand by her husband, Pezhman Ramazannezhad.
Mr Ramazannezhad, 28, lived in Eastbourne for two years but was driven home to Iran by homesickness in September.
Miss Kelly followed him in December to persuade him to return with her and they married days after she arrived in the country.
Miss Kelly's mother, Carla Lobina, said she phoned regularly and was desperate to come home.
She said her daughter would not leave without her husband.
He came to England two years ago and had been working for his brother Hamid, who owns Old Town Tyres in Green Street, Eastbourne.
Mr Ramazannezhad met Miss Kelly at the beginning of last year in Maxims night club, South Street.
