A missing 18-year-old whose mother was sent a text message claiming she would never see her again has been found safe and well.
Donna Duplock, from Shoreham, disappeared after visiting a night club in Brighton last Tuesday.
The following day, her mother, Linda Duplock, received a message on her mobile phone saying: "You will never see your girl again now that I have her."
A major missing persons inquiry was launched for Donna but Sussex Police said today the hairdresser who works in Lancing, had been found safe and well.
Officers visited an address in Brighton following a tip-off that Donna might be there.
She was taken to Brighton police station and was due to be interviewed later today.
It is understood she was not being held against her will.
Donna, a hairdresser at Solitaire Hair Fashions in Manor Road, Worthing, disappeared after telling her mother she was going to a club.
Mrs Duplock said today: "The police called me at 4.30am to tell me they had found Donna.
"They are going to be speaking to her all day today to find out what happened to her.
"That's all I know at the moment but I will be seeing her later today.
"I am just relieved she's safe and I hope she will come home with me when the police have finished talking to her."
A spokesman said: "Sussex Police would like to thank the public for their help in tracing this young lady."
