A new upbeat magazine aimed at the gay community in Sussex hits the streets today.
The monthly magazine, 3SIXTY, is published by Newsquest (Sussex), the company which produces The Argus and Brighton Source.
It takes a fresh approach to everything gay on and off the scene and is aimed at a wide audience of more than 35,000 lesbians and gay men in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding area.
The title of the magazine reflects the concept of an all-encompassing view of what is happening.
The editorial content pledges to expose the real gay life of the city, covering anything and everything which matters to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
The magazine will be free at gay venues and will cost 99p at selected newsagents.
The first issue features a look at Brighton and what has made it Britain's gay capital.
The reviews section looks at a range of activities and events that people go to, listen to, read, watch, eat and buy.
There are interviews and news covering what is new locally and nationally.
There are six pink pages packed with live music, cabaret, venues, entertainment, community and support groups in and around Brighton and an opportunity to win a holiday for two to Sitges, mainland Spain's leading gay holiday destination, courtesy of Respect Holidays.
The magazine comes hot on the heels of Brighton Source, launched three years ago, which quickly established itself as the number one guide for clubbers.
Howard Scott, managing director of Newsquest (Sussex), said: "The launch of 3SIXTY follows a great deal of careful planning and evaluation.
"Brighton and Hove is proud of its diversity of life and culture and this new magazine will celebrate this in an entertaining and informative way."
The publisher is Judith Manson, with PJ Aldred as commercial and content manager. PJ chaired the Brighton and Hove Pride committee, which organises the annual Pride event.
She stood down as chairman earlier this year and was replaced by Andy Dunton. To contact the 3SIXTY team, call 01273 561618.
