Dustmen came to the rescue of a woman in Woodingdean who was frightened when a mouse scuttled across her floor.

They cornered the rodent under the television set before setting it free outside and continuing with their work.

For the two men involved it was all part of a day's work. But the householder, who rang the depot to thank them, could not have bin more grateful.
