Sussex are going ahead with next week's friendly against Surrey despite the death of all-rounder Umer Rashid on the pre-season tour of Grenada.
After consulting with the county's players coach Peter Moores has decided to play the three-day match, which starts on Wednesday, as the club try to put the tragic events of this week behind them.
Rashid, 26, and his younger brother Burhan, 18, both drowned on Monday whilst swimming at Concord Falls in Grenada.
The rest of the tour was cancelled and the team returned home early.
The two others teams taking part in the triangular tournament in Grenada, Yorkshire and Northants, played a special tribute match to Rashid on Wednesday. Northamptonshire players also visited the site of the accident to lay a wreath in memory of the player.
The Sussex squad will report back on Monday and also play a friendly against Gloucestershire next Sunday and Monday. Their opening Championship match is against Surrey on April 19.
Moores said: "We have decided to go ahead with the Surrey game. There is obviously going to be a lot of sadness, especially as Surrey lost Ben Hollioake in a tragic accident a couple of weeks ago as well."
Meanwhile the county's overseas player Murray Goodwin will report back to Hove on April 15.
