Haywards Heath made sure there were no cup final blues as they treated their supporters to a scintillating second half on Saturday.
Heath would normally expect to be in the Sussex final at this time of year.
They made the most of their free weekend to beat Norwich 36-16 in a re-arranged match and close in on the top four in London One.
Heath trailed 16-12 at the break but turned in a superb second half display.
Delighted prop Chris Sherwood scored his first try for the club and also made a jinking run which led to lock Dave Atkin rounding off an 80-yard move.
Stuart Charnley then broke Norwich hearts by fielding a clearance on halfway and connecting with a massive drop goal.
There was a fairytale finish too for Henry Goodburn in his last home game as skipper as he ran from his own 22 for the final try.
Paul Flemming and Andrew Cook scored Heath's first half tries.
Charnley added three conversions and Gordon Denslow took seven strikes against the head.
Heath need a draw at Cheshunt on Saturday to clinch fourth spot. Victory by 50 points will take them third.
East Grinstead stage their popular Sunshine Sevens on Sunday, action starting at midday.
Hove Ladies clinched the Sussex Cup with an extra-time 17-10 win over Worthing Ladies.
