A charity football match has been organised in memory of a soccer-mad teenager who died of cancer last year.
Many of Kevin Bushby's old friends from Worthing Town and Worthing United FC's under-14 teams will play in the game at Lyons Way, Worthing, tomorrow.
Kevin, from Worthing, died in November aged 14, after four years battling cancer.
He had played football since the age of six and continued to play until his illness made him too weak.
The teenager was a huge fan of Liverpool FC, whose anthem, You'll Never Walk Alone, was played at his funeral.
His coffin was draped in his beloved team's strip.
The match between his old teams was organised by the mother of one of his friends.
Sarah Meachin intends the game to be an annual event to keep the inspirational youngster's memory alive.
She said: "My son, Steven, was best friends with Kevin's younger brother, Matthew.
"My son isn't old enough to play in this game but when he does get to that age I know he will want to.
"Kevin was such an inspiration to my son and Matthew. His friends in the teams have all taken an example from his courage. "
Kevin was picked to play for the Adur and Chichester Reps side.
He wanted to be a professional footballer when he grew up.
Kevin was a student at number of Worthing schools, including Springfield First School, Chesswood Middle School, St Andrew's High School and Worthing High School.
Martin Quaife, deputy headteacher of Worthing High School, said: "He was a very popular and much loved boy. He was a lovely lad and very well thought of by his teachers and friends."
Money raised through donations and programme sales will go to the Leucan charity, founded at Southlands Hospital in 1981, which helps families of children with leukaemia, cancer or bone marrow failure.
Kick off will be at 6.30pm and entrance is free.
