Angmering villagers are being called into action in a bid to stop the local primary school from expanding.
For the second time in two years, residents in the village, near Littlehampton, are being asked to fight expansion plans at St Margaret's Primary School.
The school, in Arundel Road, wants to increase its numbers from 379 to 480 pupils to meet expected demand from the new Bramley Green estate.
The plans have already been rejected once by an independent adjudicator but West Sussex County Council has put them forward again.
Angmering Parish Council is urging people to write to education bosses at County Hall and has sent out a form asking whether they want to see a new school built on the estate or St Margaret's expanded.
The council has also organised a public meeting next Wednesday at Angmering School at 7.30pm.
Parish council chairman Terence Kay said: "Our prime concern is the lack of a safe route for children coming from the new estate.
"The county council is looking at how to improve safety but we are still concerned."
