It would appear the Conservatives are at odds with each other again.
Councillor Peter Willows (The Argus, April 22) is asking to bring back a hospitality marquee at the cricket ground funded by council taxpayers so councillors can enjoy what used to be no more than a junket.
Yet his leader is complaining about community groups having the opportunity to claim back up to £250 of their money in grants for costly events in Brighton and Hove.
Perhaps Coun Willows could put in for a grant to take a group of his colleagues for a drink and a day at the cricket or to invest in a membership pass?
Better still, concentrate on ways to challenge the way in which council tax is spent by the Labour administration on behalf of the residents.
Or is constructive opposition too much to ask from the Conservatives these days?
