Grace Wilks, the pensioner who lost part of a finger when a robber ransacked her home, has been showered with kindness ever since her sad story appeared in The Argus.
Police officers, businesses and ordinary people have replaced the £260 which was stolen from her flat in Brighton.
They were all shocked that anyone should steal cash she had been saving for a holiday.
Grace had her finger sliced when it was caught in a wardrobe door as she tried to stop the thug.
Now she is overwhelmed at all the kindness which has been shown to her over the last few days.
It has shown her there are more nice people than nasty ones in Brighton and that many of them appreciate the courage of amazing Grace.
