The Mohammed Raja trial was delayed this morning while legal arguments took place.

The Brighton landlord was stabbed and shot in the face by two hitmen in July, 1999.

The prosecution at the Old Bailey alleges David Croke, 59, and Robert Knapp, 53, were paid by rival landlord Nicholas Hoogstraten, 57, to murder him at his home in Sutton, Surrey.

Croke of Bolney Road, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, Knapp of Convent Street, Abbeyfeale, County Limerick and Hoogstraten of High Cross Estate, Framfield, near Heathfield, deny murder. Hoogstraten also denies conspiracy to murder.
