A man suffered neck and head injuries when he was mugged at knifepoint.
The 31-year-old victim was walking in Montpelier Road, Brighton, when he was approached by three men.
One threatened him with a knife and he handed over a small amount of cash.
He was pushed against a wall as the offenders made off.
The man was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and was later released.
The muggers were all white. One had dark hair and wore an Adidas jacket, white shirt and blue jeans.
Another wore a bandanna and the third had blond hair in a ponytail and wore a green fleece.
