Carley Wenham completed a sprint double at under-15s in the Southern Women's League at Tooting Bec.
The Crawley runner, the second fastest 100m in Sussex last year, sprinted to victory at the event in 12.2sec, an All England Championship national standard time. She then won the 200m in a qualifying standard time 25.8sec.
Carley is almost certain to opt for the short sprint in the Championships in July, but the choice of event is more difficult for Jenny Bliss (Brighton and Hove).
Jenny, fifth at the All England last year, scored a league victory in the under-17s' 300m hurdles at Windsor in a qualifying standard time 45.3sec.
It was only two--tenths-of-a-second slower than her fastest run last season and was achieved in windy conditions.
But Jenny is a talented all-rounder who has already represented Sussex Schools at the Championships in the 800m and the under-15 pentathlon.
Jenny, who has also run cross-country for the county, tried the triple jump this season, breaking the Sussex under-17s and under-20s record with 11.11m at Walton recently. That effort was also of national standard.
Leanne George (Phoenix), third in the All-England under-15s' 200m last season, was second in the under-17s' 100m race in the league at Ipswich. She clocked a qualifying standard 12.5sec competing against seniors.
She has already achieved the standard at 200m and 300m this season.
