It is disgusting not a single councillor has commended the planning application by Karis Developments and Southern Primary Housing for the Endeavours Garage at Preston Road or even offered a modicum of support.

Our elected representatives must have known about this application.

They have all been very vocal about the King Alfred scheme yet have said nothing about this one, which is a lot closer to being a physical reality. Why?

This scheme should be supported unconditionally for all its worthwhile attributes, primarily that of providing what seems the largest amount of affordable housing in one go.

If councillors support it unconditionally, it sends a very important message to the developers in Brighton and Hove who seem to be constantly fighting the provision of affordable housing.
