A pub landlord was attacked and robbed as he was closing up for the night.
The landlord of The Albion, in Fishersgate Terrace, Fishersgate, was in the pub courtyard when he was attacked.
He was forced into the pub where an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
The landlord, who has not been named, received cuts and bruises to his head but was not seriously injured.
His assailant was white, aged 20 to 25, 6ft tall, with blond hair and of average build. He had a gaunt face, sunken cheeks and bony features.
He was wearing a blue baseball cap, dark jacket, blue jeans and dark trainers.
A second man was with him but did not take part in the assault.
He was also white, about the same age and wore a white baseball cap and dark jacket.
