A teenager who was critically injured in a go-karting accident is beginning to improve.
Dana Curtis, who is from the Brighton area, is today in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The 15-year-old, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious head injuries when his kart careered through a fence and under a parked lorry.
The accident happened on an industrial estate in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, while Dana and his family were visiting relatives.
A spokesman for Birmingham Children's Hospital said Dana still had a long way to go but was doing well.
His family has been keeping a vigil by his bedside since the accident.
