Eastbourne stars Mark Loram and Joe Screen failed in their bid to gatecrash the British Grand Prix party at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
The Eagles' duo had nine attempts between them without a win in Saturday's showpiece event, which was won by Australian Ryan Sullivan.
Loram missed out on a semi-final place when he finished third in heat 22 and is now eighth overall in the race for the world championship.
Screen's wild card effort ended when he came last in heat 14, a race in which Loram was second.
The event was dominated by the Aussies, with Todd Wiltshire second and Leigh Adams fourth. Sweden's Mikael Karlsson finished third.
Sullivan has now leapt to the top of the Grand Prix standings, level with defending champion Tony Rickardsson, who went out at the semi-final stage in Cardiff.
They both have 58 points and are followed by Jason Crump, Tomasz Gollob and Karlsson, all on 43. Adams has 42, Wiltshire 39 and Loram 34.
Eastbourne's Elite League match against Poole last night was called off because of a waterlogged track.
