Arundel have written off Pagham's title chances in division one of the Invitation League after the two sides played out a draw.
Steve Mullen (33), Richard Diplock (26) and Neil Chitty (26 not out) helped Arundel to 143-5.
In reply Pagham could only manage 105-8 and were hanging on at the end. Paul Cox (34) and Phil Harris (22) top scored while Chitty took 4-48 and Mullen 3-20.
The result leaves Arundel and Pagham second and third respectively behind champions Findon.
Chitty, 52, said: "Pagham have no chance, they haven't got the bowling. We are the opposite, we have got good bowlers but we need a solid opening partnership.
"Findon are the side to catch but I don't think they are any stronger than us. They work together well as a team and seem to manufacture results."
Clymping were trounced by Findon after losing a crucial toss.
Put into bat, the home side were dismissed for 52 after Nigel and Steve Waller both claimed five wickets apiece.
The brothers made full use of the damp conditions to get the ball zipping up off the pitch as four Clymping batsmen were removed for ducks. Adam Tester top scored with 12.
Beaten captain Ben Challen said: "It was a pretty bad pitch which we shouldn't have played on. Even Nigel Waller said it was all down to the toss. I don't think there is that much difference between the sides."
Simon Cairns and Graham Waller knocked off the winning runs.
Findon opener Toby Kingsbury added: "It was a good toss to win and the wickets kept tumbling early on."
Burgess Hill beat Ifield by 87 runs thanks to an excellent bowling display from John White.
Hill won the toss and elected to bat. Ben Firmin hit an unbeaten 50 and Paul Edwards weighed in with 46 runs as Hill were dismissed for 148.
Ifield's Australian Dale Rachow took 5-52 then the visitors were dismissed for 61 in reply as White claimed 6-15 from 11.2 overs.
