A 35-year-old man has been arrested after scenes of World Cup violence in Worthing earlier this month.
Mark Riley, from Goring, was arrested after the England v Sweden game on June 2.
He has been charged with affray and possession of cannabis and has been bailed to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on Friday June 14.
Riot police were called to Checkers bar, Marine Parade, after drinkers threw beer glasses and bottles.
Officers used pepper spray to hold the hooligans back before withdrawing to await reinforcements.
Acting Chief Inspector Allan Lowe: "We will deal positively with any disorder caused in Worthing at any time, whether it is related to the World Cup or not.
"There is a network of town centre CCTV cameras and, in addition, the majority of licensed premises in Worthing have CCTV cameras installed.
"Moreover, highly trained police evidence gathering teams with video and cameras are regularly deployed.
"They will be on duty throughout the World Cup period.
"Anyone who decides to commit disorder in Worthing needs to be aware of this.
"If for whatever reason we do not arrest the person at the time, it is highly likely that, as part of a follow-up investigation, arrests will be made at a later stage using this CCTV footage."
