Two teenagers in a wrecking gang called the Jedi Knights who filmed their own vandalism sprees may have to apologise in person to their victims.
The pair, both 15, were sentenced to six and four-month referral orders and ordered to pay compensation by Worthing Youth Court.
Referral orders involve supervision by a youth offending team, which could include apologising to victims or doing community work.
The gang were alleged to have recorded themselves on home video causing thousands of pounds' damage to property in Durrington, Worthing, between last December and March.
Some footage was believed to show police arriving at the scene.
Five teenagers were charged with 22 offences, including burglary, theft and criminal damage, and asked for a further 20 offences to be taken into consideration.
Three youths had their cases adjourned until June 20. The law prevents their identification.
Two more youths have already been given a final warning after admitting their involvement in the same series of incidents.
A school is believed to have contacted the police after a home video showing the young vandals was screened to a class of pupils.
