My wife and I were very pleased to see that the Countryside Centre at Beachy Head, has now reopened.
It is nice to know that representations against the closure of the centre by various organisations and individuals have had a positive result.
The running of the centre has been kindly taken over by the manager of the Brewer's Fayre restaurant, Paul O'Donnell, until September. Many thanks to him and his staff for this gesture.
We visited the centre last week and very much enjoyed the various exhibits there. We were particularly fortunate to see the additional exhibition, a wonderful collection of wildlife photographs by Frank Lane - a must for any nature lover.
His wife, Hilary, is very much involved in this exhibition and produces a fine collection of hand-knitted jumpers, each with a different animal design.
This exhibition is at the centre until June 16 and returns in July.
We understand during the summer various exhibitions will be staged and feel sure readers would enjoy visiting the centre.
