Apart from news about the changes to Network cards, readers may care to note that fares went up generally on Sunday June 2.
Although a regular rail traveller, I was surprised as there was very little publicity, whether in the Press or at rail stations.
Perhaps this was because the rail companies did not want to detract from our enjoyment of the jubilee celebrations?
More cynically, readers might wonder whether the date of the price hikes was chosen because more profit could be made from people travelling to celebrations for the jubilee.
