Stockbroking firm Durlacher has appointed Josephine King as regional head of retail broking, based at its offices in Hove.
She is the first female broker to head up one of the company's regional branches.
Before joining Durlacher, Ms King worked at Kleinwort Benson for seven years, initially as a unit trust dealer and then in portfolio management.
She has 16 years' stockbroking experience and specialises in discretionary portfolio management.
She will work alongside Durlacher's head office in London to build a customer base throughout the UK, with her main focus on the Sussex area.
In Hove, Ms King also runs a business networking lunch club called Profile.
Before entering stockbroking, she was a professional dancer, choreographing events around the world.
She is also a trained jazz dance teacher.
