A British Airways steward was due to appear in court today charged with smuggling cocaine on a flight from Jamaica to Gatwick.
Stephen Akpabioklmontowski, 37, was arrested after a routine search by Customs officials when the flight from Kingston landed early on Thursday morning.
Officers allegedly seized six kilos of cocaine with a street value of £372,000.
A second man arrested after stepping off the BA2262 flight from Kingston on Saturday was also due to appear before magistrates in Crawley today.
Anthony Jarret, 47, a self-employed decorator from Hounslow, Middlesex, is jointly charged with smuggling the drug into the UK.
