Constituents tell me they have noticed both rapeseed and barley plants growing in a patch of ground in Berriedale Avenue, Hove. The nearest farm is at least three miles away and these plants were most likely brought by transport or birds. The implications for the assurances we are given on the "non-transference" of GM crops should they be trialled is obvious.
