Two football clubs have been awarded thousands of pounds to upgrade facilities.
Eastbourne Town FC will receive £68,000 from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF), which supports the Football Foundation.
A new pitch drainage system and changing rooms are on the cards.
The club plays at Saffron in Eastbourne and is part of the Sussex County League.
Chairman Roger Addems said: "This award represents one of the most significant developments in the club's long history.
"We are extremely grateful for the support of the Football Foundation and intend to make full use of this opportunity to improve facilities.
"Spectators, some covering five decades, together with the players and officials, will all benefit from this grant which symbolises the foundation's commitment to the future of the game."
Hastings United FC, part of the Southern League, also had reason to celebrate after learning its bid for £44,970 had been a success.
The money will pay for a pitch drainage system at the Pilot Field, Hastings The fund has given out £35 million since its launch in July 2000.
