I was under the impression George Street, Hove, was for pedestrians only from 10am until 4pm.
On a short shopping trip there on Saturday, at approximately 11am, I had to get out of the way of at least four cars, two cyclists and a motorbike. There were about 12 already parked there. Either these selfish people cannot read or the notices do not apply to them. This probably happens all the time and they get away with it. They just drive around the post at the entrance. Another post to narrow the gap would help.
There were several young children there as well, was completely unsafe for their parents to let them walk on their own.
It seems pedestrians have no right to walk around safely anywhere. On the pavements or the seafront, you have to watch as you are likely to be run over by a bicycle.
