Dozens of daredevil sailors took to the water on their home-made craft for a charity raft race.
Sixteen rafts were built to the theme of Great British Achievements, chosen to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Competitors dressed in a variety of costumes, including replica 1966 England shirts and James Bond tuxedos.
The Lewes to Newhaven Raft Race has raised more than half a million pounds for local charities since the mid-Seventies.
The 27th event, organised by Lewes and District Round Table, was held yesterday.
In first place was Move Over in one hour 33 minutes, entered by the Friends of Firle School and skippered by Kathy Martin. Second was Stepping Out, entered by Eastbourne Theatres, skippered by Jo Whitten in one hour 40 minutes.
The first powered raft was South Coast Roofing Supplies raft South C, skippered by Ian Bray in one hour 57 minutes.
The best decorated raft was the Jules Rimet, by Komfort, skippered by Tony Jeffrey.
