A policeman rescued a teenage girl threatening to electrocute herself at an electricity sub-station.
PC Gary Relf was one of the first officers on the scene at Nyewood Lane, Bognor, in the early hours of the morning.
The girl, in her mid-teens, had climbed over a fence and was standing inches from the high-voltage machinery at 12.30am on Friday.
While another officer cleared the area and alerted firefighters and ambulance crews, PC Relf started up a ten-minute conversation with the girl.
He managed to coax the girl back to the safe side of the fence.
