Hove fighter Paul Halpin has suffered another injury setback.
The super-featherweight was set to meet Gavin Rees in a British title eliminator on the Michael Watson benefit show on July 8 but he has damaged hand ligaments in sparring and had to withdraw.
Halpin, who has suffered health problems in the past, said: "I am gutted. This is for a British eliminator and a lot of people are looking forward to me and Gavin meeting as we both have unbeaten records.
"Hopefully we can reschedule the fight for August."
Meanwhile, Hailsham-based Wayne Alexander has been forced to pull out his WBO world title fight against Daniel Santos through injury.
Alexander was due to meet Santos in Puerto Rico on July 20 but has withdrawn.
