Poi Poi have been used by Maori women to help with their weaving and by warriors to increase their strength in battle.

The devices, like tennis balls on the end of a string, are twirled in a figure of eight.
They should appeal to all ages and both sexes when played properly; a case of Poi Poi meets twirl.
