Following the sad exit of England from the World Cup, we should look back on what the team achieved while in the competition.
They drew against Sweden, beat Argentina and Denmark and lost by the odd goal against Brazil. The nation should be proud of what the manager and the team have achieved. Brazil are a class side and the game was never going to be easy to win.
David Seaman should not blame himself for the goal or the fans blame him. He has served his country well, keeping us in many games during difficult matches. David Beckham has played a major part, as captain, in England's progression through the cup.
The manager and players deserved their warm welcome home and can move on and look forward to the European Championships in two years' time.
Good luck, England, in reaching these finals. You can hold your heads high.
