I am disgusted a French company is about to take over another one of our utilities, this time Seeboard.

How can the Government allow this to happen when the French do not allow other countries to invest in their major companies?

It is bad enough that Seeboard is owned by a US company, although we can at least invest in the US.

There was the fiasco over beef, the problem with the Red Cross unit at Sangatte and our haulage industry has still not received any compensation it was due after the French farmers' blockade several years ago.

I gather the decision will be made in Brussels. We know what the result will be.

The Government is allowing Brussels to push us around and, unlike our other EU partners, we abide by the rules and do what we are told.
