For this exhibition, Macedonian-born Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva has painstakingly transformed ordinary materials into detailed sculpture.
For example, she has created a piece called Epidermis - a whirlpool of salmon skins suspended from the roof by shimmering nylon threads.
Epidermis was originally commissioned by Berwick Gymnasium Gallery in response to the decline of its local fishing industry and has been reframed for the Fabrica site.
The gallery is open Wednesdays to Sundays and admission is free. Call 01273 778646 or visit www.fabrica.org.uk
