Her name was Lola. She was a show girl. And she is the heroine of this passionate musical.
Based on Barry Manilow's Grammy award-winning song, the glamorous show is set amid the swinging night club scene of the Forties.
It follows the fortunes of Lola as she is launched on the perilous path to stardom with the help of a starry-eyed bartender.
But jealousy, passion and murder soon take over her world when she is spotted by a villainous admirer.
This tuneful version of Copacabana promises to be Brighton and Hove Operatic Society's most ambitious production yet.
Tickets cost £9 to £17. Call 01273 328488.
