I would like to draw your attention to a statement made in the article on Brighton and Hove City Council proposals for residents' parking schemes in Brighton and Hove (The Argus, July 14).
This concerned the rejection of residents' parking schemes by the residents of Goldsmid ward during the previous consultation.
Residents rejected the particular scheme proposed because of the provision of very large numbers of long-term parking bays for non-residents.
The majority of Goldsmid residents would be in favour of a scheme based on short-term parking for non-residents and considering their own needs as a priority.
