Seven more drug dealers have been given substantial prison sentences by Judge David Rennie in Sussex.

It once again shows his determination to stamp out this filthy trade in the county.

The men were sentenced to terms of between two-and-a-half and five years in prison. Most of them either delivered drugs such as crack cocaine or set up meetings with dealers.

It follows the judge's earlier decision to send two main dealers in Brighton to ten years in prison each.

Police must be congratulated for the efforts they made to smash a drugs ring that brought misery to many people.

Now they and the public know they have a judge on their side who is not afraid to take a tough line, which may make others think twice about dealing in drugs.
