Passing Preston Park last Tuesday, I was amazed at how spick and span it was looking following the fantastic party.
The only indication of the festivities was my aching back, having strutted my stuff most of the afternoon amid the mountain of debris - but what fun. I just wish I had put my funky hat on the ground instead and I may have made a mountain of cash for young Natasha Stapleton, who has to cram a "lifetime of pleasure and fun into maybe a couple of years".
I hope, with the help of readers, that is what it will be. Any reader who saw this "not so big-beat antique" performing behind the tent in the
middle might wish to make a donation to Natasha's fund, which will be most gratefully received.
Please call Falmer High School (01273 691191) or send a cheque made payable to Falmer High School Charity Account, Lewes Road, Brighton BN1 9PW. Thank you most kindly.
Thanks to Southern Sound, the sponsors, the magnificent clean-up team, the acts on stage and those who offered me drinks.
