A teenage boy's mobile phone was stolen after two men tried to drag him into a car.
The 16-year-old victim was standing in Hunloke Avenue, Eastbourne, on Monday at 6.45pm when two men jumped out of a purple Vauxhall Calibra and tried to pull him towards the car while punching and kicking him.
The boy escaped their grasp but one of the men snatched his silver Sony J5 mobile during the struggle.
The car, with alloy wheels, drove off in the direction of St Philip's Avenue.
The victim believed there were three men in the car, all aged around 18.
