More than half a million pounds will be spent on improving public transport, building cycle paths and cutting congestion in Worthing.
The package of measures totals £560,000. And includes improvements to junctions and roads near the A27.
It also involves bus priority lanes, a seafront cycle route, walk to school schemes and new electronic parking signs.
Cabinet member for the Environment Tex Pemberton said West Sussex County Council was also asking the Government for an extra £400,000 to improve junctions and erect more crash barriers on the A24 between Worthing and Horsham.
