The student orchestra from Trinity College of Music, now based at Greenwich, comes to Brighton for a performance of Vaughan Williams' The Wasps and Holst's The Planets Suite.
The orchestra will be conducted by Edwin Roxburgh who will also conduct his own tone poem Saturn, which includes live electromics.
Holst's The Planets are Mars, the bringer of war; Venus, the bringer of peace; Mercury, the winged messenger; Jupiter, the bringer of jollity; Saturn, the bringer of old age; Uranus, the magican and Neptune, the mystic.
The Planets is probably Holst's most admired piece but came to be loathed by the composer for its popularity.
