Europe's oldest stuntman is planning to celebrate his 87th birthday - by smashing a bottle on his throat.
The Great Omani, otherwise known as Ron Cunningham, will be staging a series of stunts at the Bedford Tavern in Norfolk Square, Brighton, on Wednesday.
He intends the "death-defying" performance to be his final public show.
Omani plans to walk on glass, do some fire-eating and then smash a milk bottle on his throat.
As readers of The Argus may recall, Omani has promised several times in the past that his performing days were over.
But this time he insists he really means it.
He said: "This will be my last performance because I saw myself in the mirror and thought 'You have not got long to go'."
Omani, who lives in Brighton, has performed escapology and magic for more than 50 years.
