Why has Brighton and Hove City Council abrogated its responsibility for the safety of pedestrians on the Undercliffe Walk between the Marina and Rottingdean?
Displayed prominently is a notice forbidding cycling, which is blatantly ignored without penalty.
Twice, recently, my wife and I have almost been mown down by irresponsible louts on bicycles travelling at breakneck speed with no consideration for walkers.
Once, in fact, we had to jump for our lives when three go-karts incongruously hurtled past us.
It is my belief that a serious accident will soon occur and the council will be responsible for gross negligence.
-David Hamill, Steyning Road, Rottingdean
